THE PRICE OF QUALITY
We are constantly bombarded by “special offers,” “best sale of the season,” and “only available here” myths of trying to capture the dollars in your pocket.
We all want a great deal and need to find value in what we are buying. To the average consumer, many products in your home are all the same. A kitchen faucet is pretty simple: You turn the handle and water comes out the spout. You push down on the flush handle and your toilet flushes. However, everything comes at a price, and the less expensive product usually means inferior function and performance.
How many times have you heard the saying “You get what you pay for?” Our company specializes in residential plumbing products such as faucets, toilets, showers, and other related products that provide necessities of comfortable living.
Every day we must try and convince homeowners of the differences in product quality versus cheaper products found in big box stores or online. Did you know that often times, a faucet in a big box store is not the same as products sold through professional trade channels? There are many reasons why a kitchen faucet may cost $59 and some faucets that are similar in looks are $459 or even $1,459. The primary reasons are manufacturing processes, components, engineering, warranty and where it is made.
As in everything in life, there is a balance. We all have financial constraints and want the very best for what we can afford. However, the cheapest product usually is just that – the cheapest. Quality products and service come with higher price tags. We want products that are going to perform, are aesthetically pleasing, and will last. That sounds simple enough and our expectations should be that high.
