CLEVELAND (May 21, 2014) – Shop Arhaus at The Culver Road Armory, 155 Culver Road, in Rochester, through Monday, June 30, 2014, and 10 percent of the sale will be donated to support the establishment of The Center for Youth, New Beginning Homeless Shelter for Young Men.

The Center for Youth provides comprehensive programs and services from prevention education to counseling to emergency shelter to youth development opportunities, like the New Beginning Shelter for Young Men—an alternative school for 16 to 21-year olds who face the challenges of the traditional educational setting or who may have already found themselves in the criminal justice system.
“In all of our store markets, we’re committed to supporting community-based organizations and providing much needed care and assistance to those in need locally,” says Arhaus Chairman and CEO John Reed. “We share The Center for Youth’s passion for the city’s young people and their ongoing development, and we’re committed to helping the organization further its outreach efforts and engagement through programs like the New Beginning school with fundraising efforts in the store.”
The percent of sales initiative benefiting The Center for Youth begins opening day—Friday, May 30—at 10 a.m.
“The commitment by the leadership team of Arhaus and John Reed personally, reflected in this generous donation, is consistent with their full engagement in the community they join when they open a new store. For The Center for Youth, and more importantly, for the young men who will be provided safe and respectful housing, this support is inspirational and so appreciated,” says Elaine Spaull, executive director of The Center for Youth.
